the dark side of the luxury life? Laziness. The more complicated things are, the more
they tend to break down. And the world and technologies are getting very complicated
with time. So when something doesn’t work, something fails, malfunctions or breaks,
people will be helpless on their own, without modern technologies.
So the only way to fix this problem, without stopping the overall development, could be
either ensuring that nothing can ever break down (which is impossible), or being trained
to deal with problems and survive without the modern luxury, whatever this means in real life.
In the article related to housing, there was mentioned that the middle and the eastern part
of Europe, due to it’s climatic conditions, suffers from high indoor energy consumption. From my point
of view the solution is a very sensitive solar panel (meaning that minimum light would provide as much
energy as possible) and a high-capacity accumulator for cloudy weather. That would be a part of the future
luxury life – starting with saving money on electricity provided by coal powerplants by switching them
for solar panels. Or using nuclear energy, with the risk of a catastrophe. No further solution possible.
At least from what I know.

I could think of two major possibilities of technological development abuse.
The first one is abusing it for military purposes. But that’s what peace organizations
are here for. To prevent it. The other one is a major loss of privacy. Today it’s not so
