In few day ago I studied clavicula and I read this: "Clavicula begins to ossify in six weeks of gravidity." Ossification is the process when cartilage is formed to bone. So I realized this sentence ambiguous. Whose clavicula begins to ossify? Mother's or baby's?
Almost everybody met some electronic device in hospital. Most frequently for example with digital manometer, infrared thermometer or X-ray computed tomography. Nowadays these devices are inseparable things of medicine. In this speach I will try to describe main principles of most common devices.
The first in my list is separator of blood plasma. (picture) Blood is led by venous puncture to the pump and then to the filter, where the blood plasma is separated from erythrocytes and thrombocytes. Blood plasma drip step by step to the collecting bag. Then the pure blood is mixed with anticoagulants and returned to the circulation of blood. This process is repeated until the bag isn't full.
