Very important group of medical devices are tomographs. Tomographs are very wide-spread in many branches. In medicine we can meet for example röntgen tomography, computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging. Tomograph is machine which reflects structure of subject without physical damage of the entity. The first successful using of predecessor of tomograph in medicine was in 1895. The author got the Nobel Prize for it. This technic was improved with coming of computers. It led to computed tomography. Patient is X-rayed from various angles in one plane. With this method hundreds of projections are obtained. The task of the computer is to draw required cut of patient. On the other hand magnetic resonance imaging use strong magnetic field. It doesn't make hazards incurred by radiation.
