From the history of the USA
( The original inhabitants, the discovery of America, colonies, the War of Indepedence, the Civil War, todays´ U.S. )

The north American continent has been inhabited for some 35 000 years. The first people, named the Native Americans, migrated from Siberia to America by crossing the Bering straight at the north of continent.
For many centuries, early Amerindians as hunters and gaters of food. These people became American´c first farmers. They cultivated the wild grass with great care. But no every tribe were farmers. Some were hunters, some were peaceful and others warlike. Each tribe were different ways of life.
For example, the first tribe was Pueblo, which were the best organised of the Amerindian farming people. Other Amerindians was Apache. They were the neighbors of the Pueblo, but they were warlike. Next group of tribes was the Iroquois, who lived away from Pueblo and Apache. This Irocquois were skilled farmers, hunters, fisherman, and they were warlike, too.

The USA was discovered by Leif Eriksson (by Vikings) in 1000. But for Europe, this world was discovered by Christoph Columbus in 1492. The continent was given its name after another italian explorel – Amerigo Vespuci. After that the big powers started colonising of the New World. The
