Education in our country:
1. School attendance is compulsory from the age of 6 or 7 till 14 or 15. We can share school on state, private or church schools. At state schools is attendance free of charge. Handicapped children are educaated separately.
2. Pre-school educatin begins at the age of 6 months - children may start attend creches until the age of 3. From the age of 3 tiil the age of 6 childrens attend kindergartens. The most of children in this age is in the kindergartens because their mothers have not enough money and must go to the work .
3. Primary education begin at basic schools at the age of 6 or 7 till the age of 14 or 15. Children learn writting, counting and reading skills.
4. Secondary education lasts 3 or 4 years from the age of 14 or 15 till the age of 18 or 19. Secondary schools we can share on - grammer schools, special schools adn vocational schools.
5. Students end secondary education by making graduation exam. It consist of Czech, 1 foreign language or mathematic, and 2 optional subjects.
6. Tertiary education start at the age of 18 or 19 and lasts from 4 to 6 years. Students can attend different universtities or colleges (Philosophical, Medical, Law, Economics…)
