ped Britain industry so much so since 19th century, Britain was called “the workshop of the world“.
In turn of 19th and 20th century, there were bad conditions, even children had to work in factories. Abou this conditions wrote many writers, such as Charles Dickens.
But the inventions continued also in 20th century. In that time, the invention of radar helped the British win in The Battle of Britain. Other inventions are aircraft or power-nuclear stations.

Now I tell about today´s britain industry. We may decided Britain into seven great industrial regions. The main industrial area is London area. The head offices of a ver large number of firms are to be found there. Second region is the Midland area around Birmingham, called Black country.Because this is coal-mining region, with metal goods or vehicles. Next is Yorkshire, where we can find woolen industry.There are Leeds(centre for clothing) or Sheffield (famous for its steel and cutlery).Four region - South Wales is a coal mining area.
Next is Durham and Northumberland.There is important iron and steel industry and we can find there a second most important shipbuilding yards. In Glasgow, tehre is steel and iron industry. And the last region – Norther Ireland is famous for its linent.

Today British industry isn´t biggest in the world, but the quality of Britain goods is still hight.
