Wilde´s career was stopped by scandal.He was blamed Wilde of his homosexuality, so he was sent to prison for 2 years. In prison,Wilde wrote an eighty-page letter to Lord Dougles. Wilde gave this letter to his friend Robert Ross. Robert published this letter as book called “De Profoundis“ after wilde´s death.
Wilde live in Paris as Sebastian Melmoth for 3 years and in 1900 he suddenly died, poor and disgraced.
Victorian Era is characterised as a period of prosperity, social, cultural and industrial development. All Era began in 1837, when Queen Victoria came to the throne and ended by Victoria´s death. In the past, it was unthinkable to have a freetime, but the time was changed. Children could go to the school, building and parks were build up, a lot of Victorian gentleman study natural science (such as very famous Darwin´s theory). A lot of couples to play a sports, such as cricet, footbal and others. Victoria´s husband, Prince Albert, was a supporter of art. He build up many museums in all Britain, such as famous Albert Hall.
